What are the puzzle packs?
The puzzle packs are hand-picked collections of puzzles that are available for purchase as in-app purchases.
- As you progress through the different categories, the puzzles get steadily harder.
- The Quirky category contains puzzles that are a bit out-of-the-ordinary.
- The Scary category contains puzzles that are aimed especially at skilled players.
What is so quirky about the quirky puzzles?
The Quirky puzzle packs contain puzzles that all have unusual arrangements of clues. This includes the following:
- symmetric arrangements (the clues for the rows are the same as for the columns)
- a large number of the same clue value or values
- a small number of distinct clue values
- all-even or all-odd clue values
- clue values that are mostly large, or mostly small
- clue values that form a sequence, such as the numbers 1-5.
The last Quirky pack is described as being extra challenging, what does that mean?
Pack 5 of the Quirky puzzles contains puzzles that are generally harder than in the other Quirky packs.
- The lowest level of difficulty for the puzzles in this pack is Medium. In the other Quirky packs, the lowest level of difficulty is Quite Easy.
- There are more Very Difficult puzzles in this pack than in the other Quirky packs.
What is so premium about the 9x9 puzzles?
The packs with Premium 9x9 Puzzles contain 9x9 puzzles that all start completely empty, that is, with no pre-filled blocks or values. This is why the puzzles are described as premium.
The puzzle generator built into the app is able to generate 9x9 puzzles, but they usually start with one or more pre-filled blocks. These puzzles can still be very challenging to solve, but puzzles that start completely empty are considered to be more special.

I have played all the free puzzles, am I missing anything if I don't buy any packs and just go straight to the puzzle generator?
Puzzles like the ones in the Crafty, Sneaky and Tricky packs, as well as the Assorted and Very Difficult packs of the Scary category, can be generated very easily with the puzzle generator. The recommended settings for doing this are provided at the bottom of each of the puzzle pack pages. - Quirky puzzles. The puzzle generator does not support an option for generating quirky puzzles on demand, so it is down to luck whether the puzzles you generate will be quirky. Then again, if you generate a lot of puzzles, you should encounter a quirky puzzle now and then.
- Premium 9x9 puzzles. When a 9x9 puzzle is generated on demand, it will usually have one or more pre-filled blocks. Less than 1% of the 9x9 puzzles generated on demand are likely to be premium puzzles with no pre-filled blocks.
If I buy a puzzle pack, can I play the puzzles more than once?
